The Scotiabank Saddledome and the Calgary Flames welcome the Tampa Bay Lightning to town.
The Tampa Bay Lightning needed a shootout to defeat the Minnesota Wild 3-2 and give them a successful homestand at 3-2-1. The winner in the shootout came off the stick of Ryan Callahan with Valteri Filppula and Nikita Kucherov scoring during regulation. Andrei Vasilevskiy picked up the win with 30 stops as TampaBay improved to 19-16-4. Charlie Coyle and Jared Spurgeon provided the Minnesota offense with Devan Dubnyk standing tall between the pipes with 30 saves but the Wild still managed to pick up a valuable point and might have missed out on two points as a third period goal was waved off.

The Calgary Flames were dominant at both ends of the ice in a 4-0 victory at the Pepsi Center Saturday versus the Colorado Avalanche. The Flames received their offense from Mikael Backlund, Josh Joors, Matt Stajan and Dougie Hamilton. Karri Ramo was outstanding in the nets with a 26 stop performance to log his fists shutout of the season and number five of his career as Calgary evened their record at 18-18-2. Semyon Varlamov was charged with all four goals on 19 shots before Calvin Pickard who stopped all 15 shots he faced with the Avalanche falling to 18-18-3.
