We’ve got a pretty busy schedule in the NHL tonight, with eight games on the set. While we’re waiting on those pucks to hit the ice, let’s check out some of the notable players and stats in the news right now.
Petr Mrazek, G, Detroit Red Wings: Mrazek had a great game last night against the Devils at Prudential Center. He logged 22 saves in a 1-0 shutout victory, his second shutout of the year and seventh overall in his NHL tenure.
Dylan Larkin scored the deciding goal here on his only shot of the game. It came 9:20 into the first period on a breakaway.
Detroit is now 20-13-7 on the year while the Devils sit at 20-15-5.

Bobby Ryan, RW, Ottawa Senators: Ryan was all over the place last night against the Blues at Scottrade Center. He scored twice and had an assist with six shots on goal in a 3-2 overtime victory.
Ryan’s game-winner came at 2:33 into the extra period and is now over 200 NHL goals in his career.
Ottawa sits at 19-16-6 and breaks a three-game losing streak with the victory. The Blues fall to 23-14-5.
Tyson Barrie, D, Colorado Avalanche: Barrie logged a career-high four points last night with two goals and two assists against the Kings at Pepsi Center. The result was a 4-1 victory.
Jarome Iginla also had a notable night: he scored his 600th career NHL goal and is the 19th player in league history to hit that threshold.
The Avalanche move to 19-18-3 with the victory, four points behind the Predators for the second Wild Card spot.
Cam Talbot, G, Edmonton Oilers: Yesterday’s other overtime affair came between the Oilers and Hurricanes at Rexall Place. Talbot pitched a shutout, stopping all 29 shots that came his way during the 1-0 win.
Edmonton defenseman Andrej Sekera beat Cam Ward 2:47 into overtime to snag the victory. Ward had 26 saves.
The Hurricanes are 16-17-7 while the Oilers sit at 17-21-3.
