The Leafs and Bruins renew hostilities in Boston on Saturday as both teams complete a bac to back with very different results.
The Maple Leafs dropped their fourth in a row last night at home against the red hot Chicago Blackhawks and have dropped even further back of the group in the Atlantic division as they sit in seventh place and are just two points up on the Jackets for the worst mark in the East. Toronto has shown signs of brilliance this season which is a good sign moving forward beyond this season as it looks like Mike Babcock’s system will work once they have the personnel in place but in the mean time I think victories will be tough to come by. The Leafs will go with Jonathan Bernier here as James Reimer started last night and he will go up against Tuukka Rask.

The Bruins meanwhile return home after a road win against the Sabres last night and with a victory here they can move into third place in the Atlantic division and back into a comfortable playoff position. Boston is 22-16-5 this season and while they are just 3-6-1 in their last 10 contests they do look like a threat in the Eastern Conference as they have a pretty solid team in place and a coach that has won a Stanley Cup. The B’s are actually a much better road team than home team this season but against the Leafs I don’t think it matters as Bernier has had a very tough season and that continues here.
