After a pretty busy evening in the NHL last night, the league is easing up a bit tonight with just three games on the set. In the meantime, let’s visit with some of the key players and stats in the news.
Reid Boucher, LW, New Jersey Devils: Boucher has given the Devils reason to keep him up with the big club over the past couple of games. He contributed a goal and an assist last night against the Flames at Prudential Center, helping his team to a 4-2 victory.
Adam Larsson and Lee Stempniak also each had a goal and an assist. Cory Schneider put up 26 saves, making the Devils 23-19-5 on the year so far.

Mats Zuccarello, RW, New York Rangers: The Rangers looked like they were in trouble late against the Canucks last night at the Garden, but were able to pull out an overtime victory coming from behind for a 3-2 result.
Zuccarello posted the game-tying goal in the third and J.T. Miller snagged the game-winner here.
The Rangers outshot the Canucisk 49-20 and had five shots clang off the post. New York is now 25-16-5.
Evgeny Kuznetsov, C, Washington Capitals: Kuznetsov was in a giving modd last night in Columbus. He snagged four assists on the way to a 6-3 Caps victory over the Blue Jackets.
Washington got scoring from three lines, with Nicklas Backstrom contributing two goals on three shots all by himself. Braden Holtby posted 32 saves here. He is 22-1-2 in his last 25 games and cooking right now.
Patrick Kane, RW, Chicago Blackhawks: The Blackhawks are cruising along right now. They’ve got 12 straight wins, which is the longest run in their history. Helping out to get the most recent one was Kane, who had a goal and an assist against the Predators at Bridgestone Arena last night.
Artemi Panarin continued his nice run with a pair of assists.
Chicago hasn’t lost since December 27, and sit at 32-13-4 on the year.
