The NHL is shut down for the All-Star break right now, and we won’t be getting any more hockey until Groundhog Day. Still, there’s plenty to talk about in the meantime, so let’s check out some of the key players and stats in the news.

Andrei Vasilevskiy, G, Tampa Bay Lightning: Vasilevskiy got himself a shutout last night on 30 saves in a 1-0 victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Amalie Arena.
The only goal here was a Steven Stamkos power-play score 4:38 into the first period. Aside from that, Leafs goalie Jonathan Bernier turned away each of the other 28 shots.
The Lightning have won eight of nine and sit at 27-18-4.

Andre Burakovsky scored twice as well, and Nicklas Backstrom earned third-star honors with his goal.
The Flyers ended a three-game losing skid with this victory.

Shea Weber, D, Nashville Predators: The Predators have now won four games in a row for the first time this year, following a 2-1 victory over the Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome last night.
Weber scored on three shots here, and Carter Hutton posted 26 saves for the victory.
The Preds had started out 2-5-1 in January, but with this win they improve to 24-18-8 on the season.
