The United Center and the Chicago Blackhawks await a visit from the San Jose Sharks Tuesday.
The San Jose Sharks will be looking to atone for a 6-2 defeat versus the Nashville Predators Saturday at the Bridgestone Arena. Neither end of the ice had a good night with Joe Thornton and Logan Couture provided the San Jose offense but Martn Jones was touched for four goals as the Sharks fell to 27-20-4. Viktor Avidsson led the Predators soring spree with a pair of goals and an assist with James Neal, Calie Jamrok, Shea Weber and Filip Forsberg each lighting the lamp with Forsberg also adding two helpers. Pekka Rinne won it for Nashville which improved to 25-20-8 in ending a two game skid.

The Chicago Blackhawks are looking for a long hot streak in pursuit of another Central Division crown and they have taken a few steps in that direction. The Blackhawks extended their lead over Dallas with a 5-1 victory at the American Airlines Center Saturday for win number three in a row. Artem Anisimov led the offense with a goal and a trio of helpers, with Brent Seabrook, Marian Hossa, Trevor van Riemsdyk and Patrick Kane also finding the back of the net. Corey Crawford picked up the win with 36 stops as Chicago improved to 36-16-4. Tyler Seguin scored for the Stars with Antti Niemi taking the loss for Dallas which saw a three game winning streak end in falling to 33-15-5.
The under is 3-0-1 in Sharks last 4 games playing on 2 days rest and the Sharks are 4-0 in their last 4 after scoring 2 goals or less in their previous game while going 6-1 in their last 7 when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game. The Blackhawks are 4-0 in their last 4 when their opponent allows 5 goals or more in their previous game and the over is 5-0-1 in Blackhawks last 6 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600 while going 3-0-3 in Blackhawks last 6 after scoring 5 goals or more in their previous game. The Sharks are 1-8 in the last 9 meetings in Chicago and the over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings while the Sharks are 1-4 in the last 5 meetings. I’m leaning Chicago until I see goalies…
