We’ve got a great set of NHL games coming our way today, and they’ll get going early this afternoon. In the meantime, let’s check out some of the notable players and stats out there right now.
Henrik Lundqvist, G, New York Rangers: Lundqvist allowed just one goal in the third period to Brayden Schenn (at 19:50 on a power play) which spoiled his shutout as the Rangers beat the Flyers 3-1 last night at the Garden.
Derek Stepan scored twice here, both in the third period, for his 11th and 12th goals of the season.
With the win, the Rangers hit the 70-point mark at 32-18-6; the Flyers are 24-21-10 at 58 points.

Brian Elliott, G, St. Louis Blues: Elliott nearly had a shutout as well. He turned away 37 of 38 shots against the Lightning at Amalie Arena last night, helping his team to a 2-1 win.
Scoring for the Blues were Robby Fabbri and Patrik Berglund; Paul Stastny also came up with an assist. Nikita Kucherov scored his 23rd goal of the year at 19:08 in the third for the Lightning.
The Blues have 73 points at 32-17-9; Tampa has cooled off a little at 64 points and a 30-21-4 record.
Pavel Datsyuk, C, Detroit Red Wings: Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg each had a goal and an assist in a high-scoring game last night against the Bruins at Joe Louis Arena.
Detroit would go on to a 6-5 win, with Darren Helm scoring the other two goals.
The Red Wings have 67 points thus far with a 28-18-9 record; the Bruins are 30-20-6 with 66 points.
Keith Kinkaid, G, New Jersey Devils: The Devils shut down the Kings offense yesterday at Prudential Center, recording a 1-0 victory.
Kinkaid came up with the shutout on 28 saves, while David Schlemko’s first-period goal held up as the game-winner.
Los Angeles outshot New Jersey 28-18 but still fell to 33-19-3 with 69 points in the loss. The Devils are 29-21-7 with 65 points.
