We’ve got a pretty good-looking lineup of games in the NHL today, so there will be plenty to keep our attentions out on the ice. In the meantime, let’s check out some of the notable players and stats in today’s headlines.

Ryan Suter, D, Minnesota Wild: The Wild bagged a 5-2 victory over the Canucks last night at Rogers Arena, thanks to a pair of assists by Suter.
Minnesota scored twice in the first, twice in the second and once in the third period here. They outshot Vancouver 34-26 on the evening.
With the win, the Wild move to 24-22-10 and 58 points. The Canucks have a 22-22-12 record and 56 points on the season.

NHL News: Player News and Updates for 2/16/16


Martin Hanzal, C, Arizona Coyotes: The Coyotes peppered in the goals against the Canadiens last night at Gila River Arena in Glendale. They scored five goals in the first and second period combined en route to a 6-2 victory, outshooting Montreal 27-19.
Hanzal scored twice here, and Oliver Edman-Larsson scored with two assists.
Arizona moves to 26-24-6 and Montreal is 27-26-4 now. Each team has 58 points on the season.

Patrick Kane, RW, Chicago Blackhawks: Kane had another monster night against the Maple Leafs at United Center, turning in a goal and three assists in a 7-2 victory. Chicago scored four times in the third period alone.
Andrew Shaw scored his 10th goal of the year here, and put up a pair of assists as well. Scott Darling had 35 saves in the win.
The Blackhawks have 79 points with a 37-18-5 record, and the Leafs are 20-26-9 at 49 points.

Mike Santorelli, C, Anaheim Ducks: Santorelli put up a pair of goals last night against the Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, leading to a 6-4 victory.
Anaheim was down 3-2 at the end of the first, but outscored Calgary 3-1 in the second.
Jiri Hudler had two goals and an assist for the Flames in the losing effort.
The Ducks have 64 points after this win with a 28-19-8 record. The Flames have 53 points and a 25-27-3 mark thus far.
