After a pretty heavy slate last night, the NHL is calming things down a bit this evening, with just three games on the schedule. We’ve still got plenty to talk about in our daily wrap-up, however, so let’s see which players and stats are in the news this morning.

Brayden Schenn, C, Philadelphia Flyers: The Flyers kept flying along last night at Prudential Center in New Jersey, taking a 6-3 win over the Devils.
Philly scored four times in the third period to ice the victory. Schenn contributed a goal and a pair of assists. Claude Giroux came up with three assists, while Wayne Simmonds had a score and a helper of his own.
The Flyers are now 25-21-10 with 60 points. The Devils have a 29-22-7 record with 65 points.

Philipp Grubauer, G, Washington Capitals: Grubauer came up with a nice game last night at Verizon Center against the Kings, bagging 39 saves in a 3-1 victory.
The Kings outshot the Caps 40-32, with L.A. goalie Jonathan Quick posting 29 saves in the loss.
The Kings now move to 33-20-3 and 69 points, while the Capitals continue to cruise along with 86 points and a 41-10-4 record.

Tuukka Rask, G, Boston Bruins: Now let’s move on to another goalie in Raask. He put up 28 saves in a 2-1 overtime victory last night at Nationwide Arena in Columbus against the Jackets. On the other side, Joonas Korpisalo logged 28 saves in the loss.
Loui Eriksson scored the game-winner in the extra period, assisted by Torey Krug and David Krejci. It was Eriksson’s 20th score of the year.
The Bruins are now 31-20-6 with 68 points. The Jackets have 53 points at 23-28-7.

Hampus Lindholm, D, Anaheim Ducks: Lindholm scored a goal last night in the Ducks’ 5-3 victory over the Oilers at Rexall Place in Edmonton. It was his eighth of the year.
Corey Perry also scored here at the 19:47 mark in the third. He now has 23 goals on the season.
The Ducks have 66 points at 29-19-8, while the Oilers are 22-30-6 with 50 points.
