After a pretty light NHL set last night, we’ve got a slew of games headed our way this evening. That said, let’s check out some of the notable players and stats out there in our daily wrap-up.

Jason Pominville, RW, Minnesota Wild: Pominville had a nice game last night, scoring once and assisting on another goal in a 5-3 win over the Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary.
Minnesota scored twice in the first and twice in the second to skate away with the victory. T.J. Brodie assisted on a pair of goals on the other side.
The win brings Minnesota to 25-22-10 and 60 points on the year, while the Flames are at 53 points with a 25-28-3 record.

Jarome Iginla, RW, Colorado Avalanche: Iginla scored his 16th and 17th goals of the season last night against the Canadiens at Pepsi Center in Denver, powering the Avs to a 3-2 win.
Defenseman Erik Johnson scored his ninth goal in the second on a shorthanded sequence. Lars Eller scored one for Montreal in the losing effort. He now has 10 on the season.
The Canadiens fall back to .500 at 27-27-4 and 58 points; the Avalanche are 30-26-4 with 64 points.

Artemi Panarin, LW, Chicago Blackhawks: Panarin’s dynamic rookie campaign charged on with a hat trick last night against the Rangers at the Garden, helping the defending champion Blackhawks to a 5-3 victory.
Chicago had a 2-1 edge going into the third, then exploded for three goals in the final period. Kevin Hayes scored and had an assist for the Rangers in the losing effort. New York outshot Chicago 34-20 in this one.
The Rangers are still at 70 points with a 32-19-6 record. The Blackhawks are 38-18-5 with 81 points.
