We’ve got a busy NHL schedule ahead of us tonight, which will give us plenty to check out over the coming hours. In the meantime, let’s check our daily wrap-up of the key players out there.
Henrik Lundqvist, G, New York Rangers: The Rangers bagged a 3-2 victory last night at American Airlines Center in Dallas, edging out the Stars. Lundqvist posted 36 saves on 38 shots here, and the Rangers outscored Dallas 2-1 in the third period.
Ryan McDonagh put up his eigth goal of the year, Kevin Klein his sixth, and Chris Kreider his 13th on a power play in the second.
The Rangers are now 36-20-6 with 78 points, and the Stars are 38-19-6 with 82 points.

Filip Forsberg, C, Nashville Predators: Forsberg had a busy day yesterday at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. He logged a hat trick and added an assist against the Blues, as the Preds posted a shutout 5-0.
Pekka Rinne had the win in net with 28 saves. Craig Smith also scored his 14th goal of the year and had two assists. As for Forsberg, all three of his scores came in the second. He has 26 on the year.
The Preds are 31-21-11 at 73 points; the Blues are 35-20-9 with 79.
Michal Neuvirth, G, Philadelphia Flyers: Neuvirth was solid in goal for the Flyers yesterday at Wells Fargo Center. He had 29 saves on 31 shots in a 4-2 Philly win over the visiting Coyotes.
Mark Streit was in a giving mood, helping on three of the four goals.
Claude Giroux scored in the first; he’s got 17 on the year.
The Flyers are now 28-22-11 with 67 points; the Coyotes have 60 points at 27-29-6.
Tanner Pearson, LW, Los Angeles Kings: Pearson accounted for all the scoring for the Kings last night against the Sabres at Staples Center. He had both goals in the 2-0 win, and he’s now got 10 on the year.
Jhonas Enroth recorded the shutout here, making saves on all 23 shots. The Kings outshot Buffalo 35-23 here, scoring a goal in the second and third periods.
L.A. is 37-20-4 with 78 points; the Sabres are 25-31-7 at 57 points.
