The Line: Toronto Maple Leafs +145 / Tampa Bay Lightning -175 --- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Lightning head into Toronto looking to take over top spot in the Atlantic while the Maple Leafs sit in the basement of the Eastern Conference.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have turned their season around after a slow start and are now 14 games above the 500 mark with 20 contests left to be played and if they can sustain their recent success they have a very good chance at taking over top spot in the division. The Bolts are the defending Eastern Conference champions for a reason and while they have lost some of their allure this season and may not be the favourite they are still a team to watch out for and could become a dark horse to win the Stanley Cup. Ben Bishop is having a spectacular campaign and while Steven Stamkos has been caught up in all of the trade rumors he too has been the catalyst behind the team’s success this season.

The Maple Leafs meanwhile are at the complete opposite end of the spectrum as they are in the midst of a full blown rebuild and they are likely to see that process continue at the trade deadline, the draft, and into free agency this summer. Toronto has shipped out Dion Phaneuf and James Reimer to name a few and the unloading probably isn’t finished and while all of the bells and whistles will be surrounding Stamkos and his trip to Toronto here it is pretty clear that Tampa won’t part with him until the offseason. We can expect some Toronto Stamkos jerseys in the crowd tonight but the bottom line remains for now that he is a member of the Lightning and they will get the win tonight.
