The Flyers and Penguins meet up in the Battle of Pennsylvania on Sunday in what should be a very exciting show down between two bitter rivals.
The Flyers play in their biggest game of the season on Sunday as they continue to push for the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference and will have to get through their arch nemesis if they’re going to create some distance on the pack of teams in the hunt. Philadelphia has been red hot since the all-star break and have really earned their place in the wild card race and with a one point edge on the Boston Bruins heading into this game and a game in hand the Flyers control their own destiny and as winners of three in a row and seven of 10 they are playing some of their best hockey of the season. Steve Mason is expected to get the start as he will likely face off against Matthew Murray.

The Penguins meanwhile are competing for home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs as they sit three points up on the New York Rangers for second in the Metropolitan and with a 9-1 record in their last 10 and winners of five in a row the Pens are the hottest team in the league and look like the Cup contender we thought we’d see at the beginning of the year. Pittsburgh has clinched a playoff spot and with just four games left in the regular season they are in a good spot to finish in second place but will have their hands full against the Flyers on Sunday. The value here lies with the road team and in a rivalry game it is always wise to take the value, but with the Penguins are playing right now it is tough to bet against them and we will stay to that in this one.
