The Maple Leafs look to snap out of their three game losing streak as they host the Columbus Blue Jackets in Toronto on Wednesday night.
The Columbus Blue Jackets head into the ACC on Wednesday night looking to finish out the string of their regular season on a winning streak and head into the offseason with some positive momentum. Columbus was expected to be a tough team this season and a dark horse in the Eastern Conference but a very slow start had them playing catch up by Halloween and with some parts out the door throughout the season they simply didn’t have enough to get back in the hunt. The Jackets head into this game with a paltry 3-7 record in their last 10 contests and are just three points clear of the Leafs for last place in the Eastern Conference. Sergei Bobrovsky is expected to get the start as he will go up against Garett Sparks.

The Maple Leafs meanwhile have treated the last month of the season as an audition for some of their younger players as they brought up a ton of their top prospects and guys from the farm system who could be in the fold next year. Toronto is in a full blown rebuild and have the patience of their fan base at the moment as the right personnel are in place for them to get back to relevance in a few years time if they can continue to build through the draft and add pieces in free agency. This should be a relatively exciting game even though both teams have been bad and with the Leafs at home I give them the nod in a toss up.
