We’re coming off two games of 2016 NHL Stanley Cup Playoff action last night, and we’ve got one more to look forward to this evening. In the meantime, let’s check out some of the notable players and stats in the news.

Viktor Arvidsson, RW, Nashville Predators: This Sharks-Predators series is going to come down to a winner-take-all Game 7, thanks to a Predators victory last night.
Arvidsson scored his first goal of the playoffs last night in Game 6, and it was the game-winner at 2:03 in overtime. Nashville scored once in each period for a 4-3 victory. The Predators out-shot the Sharks 32-18 in the game.
Chris Tierney got the scoring started with a pair of goals in the first period for San Jose, and Logan Couture managed his sixth score of the playoffs on a power play in the third. Nashville’s Colin Wilson answered at 12:44 to tie things up, and the OT victory was set up.
This victory comes on the heels of a triple-overtime thriller in Game 5, and will be the Predators’ second Game 7 of the playoffs. That one is Thursday evening in San Jose.

USA TODAY Sports

Kari Lehtonen, G, Dallas Stars: The other West series will be headed to a Game 7 as well, following a 3-2 nail-biter at Scottrade Center in St. Louis last night. The Stars edged out the Blues here to force the decisive game, scoring all three of their goals in the first period. St. Louis out-shot Dallas 37-14 but Lehtonen was able to deflect all but two of their shots on 35 saves.
Mattias Janmark, Vernon Fiddler and Jason Spezza (power play) scored for Dallas. It was Spezza’s fifth goal of the playoffs.
On the other side, Alexander Steen (4) and Patrik Berglund had the goals for the Blues.
The road team has won three in a row and four of six games in this series, so home ice doesn’t mean a whole lot.

NHL Daily Schedule: Here’s a look at the league’s daily schedule. Let’s check out the matchups, times and channels where you can find all the action.
