NHL hockey visits the Xcel Energy Center where the Los Angeles Kings take the ice at the Minnesota Wild.
The season is still young but I’m sure the Los Angeles Kings are very unhappy with their 0-2 start and worried about injured star Jonathan Quick who is one of the top netminders in the business. Without Quick the Philadelphia Flyers came to town and came away with a 4-2 victory with all four goals scored in the second period. The Flyers received two goals from Sean Couturier with Boyd Gordon and Mark Streit also scoring. Mchal Neuvirth made the support hold up with 23 stops to get the win. The Kings offense came off the sticks of Drew Doughty and Brayden McNabb while backup goalie Jeff Zatkoff recorded 26 stops in defeat.

The Minnesota Wild shoot for another win for the fans at the Xcel Energy Center after rallying past the Winnipeg Jets 4-3 on Saturday night. Chris Stewart, had a goal and assist wile Eric Staal, Matt Dumba and Jonas Brodin each found the back of the net. Wild goalie Devan Dubnyk saw very little rubber with 14 stops to get the victory. The Jets scoring came from Blake Wheeler, Nikolaj Ehlers and Mark Schiefele with the loss going to Michael Hutchinson who made 27 saves as the Wild improved to an unreal 14-0-2 mark in home openers.
The Kings are 0-4 in their last 4 overall and the Kings are 0-5 in their last 5 vs. Central while the Kings are 0-4 in their last 4 after scoring 2 goals or less in their previous game. The under is 3-0-1 in Wild last 4 Tuesday games and the over is 4-0-2 in Wild last 6 vs. Western Conference while the over is 4-0-2 in Wild last 6 overall. The under is 19-4-4 in the last 27 meetings in Minnesota and the under is 31-12-8 in the last 51 meetings while the Kings are 2-5 in the last 7 meetings in Minnesota.
The under has been a good bet when these teams take the ice in Minnesota and the Kings have had some trouble there as well but no goalies confirmed has me looking in to this more…
