NHL hockey comes to the Bridgestone Arena when the Dallas Stars visit the Nashville Predators.
The Dallas Stars travel to Nashville Tuesday hoping to plug some holes in their defense as they come off a 6-5 defeat to the Colorado Avalanche Saturday by a 6-5 count. The Stars offense caused their share of problems as well with a pair of goals coming from Tyler Sequin, with Jamie Benn, Devin Shore and Brett Ritchie also scoring but Antti Niemi was yanked in the second with five goals allowed and Kari Lehtonen came in to stop the bleeding, albeit too late. The Stars couldn’t stop Joe Colborne who score three times and was joined in the scoring column by Nathan MacKinnon, Carl Soderberg and Tyson Barrie with Semyon Varlamov picking up the win.

The Nashville Predators will be looking for a win when Dallas comes to town on Tuesday. The Predators were in the wrong place at the wrong time in a 5-3 loss at Chicago who were desperate for a win after starting 0-2 this year. The Preds could not keep up offensively with Viktor Arvidsson, Colin Wilson and Craig Smith lighting the lamp but Predators netminder Marek Mazanec couldn’t keep the puck in front of him with 22 stops. The Blackhawks rode the first career hat trick from Richard Panik with Brent Seabrook and Nick Schmaltz also scoring while Duncan Keith and Patrick Kane supplied a pair of helpers each. Hawks goalie Scott Darling recorded 33 stops to get the win.
The Stars are 4-0 in their last 4 after allowing 5 goals or more in their previous game and the over is 7-0 in Stars last 7 games playing on 2 days rest while the over is 8-1-4 in Stars last 13 overall. The over is 2-0-2 in Predators last 4 home games and the over is 5-0-4 in Predators last 9 vs. Western Conference while the Predators are 5-0 in their last 5 home games. The Stars are 6-1 in the last 7 meetings and the Stars are 2-5 in the last 7 meetings in Nashville while the under is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings in Nashville.
It seems the Stars have struggled in Nashville and scoring has been down kept under control there as well. No goalies have been announced so please check back…
