The Los Angeles Kings bring NHL hockey to American Airlines Center against the Dallas Stars.
The Los Angeles Kings are known for their play in NHL Hockey but an 0-3 start hasn’t been what the doctor ordered especially with starting goalie Jonathan Quick injured. The Kings come off a 6-3 defeat at Minnesota where nothing well at either end of the ice. The LAK offense consisted of a pair of goals from Tanner Pearson along with two helpers with Anze Kopitar also scoring but back up goalie Jeff Zatkoff struggled and was given the hook in the opening period. The Wild attack produced goals from Jason Pominvillle, Erik Haula, Teemu Pulkkinen, Charlie Coyle, Mikko Koivu and Jared Spurgeon while Darcy Kuemper made 27 stops.

Dallas Stars have the ability to score in the world of NHL hockey but not in Tuesday’s 2-1 victory at the Nashville predators. Instead the Stars defense proved they could get the job done when goals are difficult to come by. Adam Cracknell scored the Stars first goal with Jason Spezza lit the lamp in the third for the winner as Kari Lehtonen was strong between the pipes witth 27 saves. The Predators trailed 1-0 in the first before Mike Fischer scored the equalizer in the second but Pekka Rinne couldn’t win on his lonesome with a monster 35 save performance in the loss.
The Kings are 0-4 in their last 4 vs. Western Conference and the Kings are 0-5 in their last 5 overall while the Kings are 0-6 in their last 6 vs. Central. The over is 3-0-1 in Stars last 4 home games and the Stars are 0-6 in their last 6 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game while the over is 7-0-4 in Stars last 11 games playing on 1 days rest. The over is 5-1-4 in the last 10 meetings in Dallas and the Kings are 11-5 in the last 16 meetings in Dallas.
The Kings and the over have been consistent winners but no Quick might change all that. I need to see goalies and a line so please check back…
