The Phoenix Coyotes look to get a road win at the New York Islanders on Friday NHL action. The Coyotes were in the wrong place at the wrong time Tuesday in a 7-4 defeat at Ottawa where nothing went as planned. The Senators were doing all the celebrating with Erik Karlsson, Mark Stone, Zack Smith. Chris Kelly, Kyle Turris, Erik Karlsson and Bobby Ryan all lit the lamp with Craig Anderson recording 31 stops for the victory. The New York Islanders will be looking for a win when the Arizona Coyotes come to town on Friday Night. The Islanders dropped a 3-2 decision in their NHL hockey tilt with the visiting San Jose Sharks on Tuesday with the offense never getting their offense going while a late SJ goal snapped a 2-2 tie. The Sharks received goals from Tomas Hertl and Melker Karlsson with Joe Pavelski scored the game winner with just 2:11 remaining in regulation to give Aaron Dell and his 21 saves the win in his first career start. The Islanders received goals off the sticks of Anders Lee and Anthony Beauvillier while Jaroslav Halak absorbed the loss despite stopping 24 shots. The Isles lost their third in four contests.
The Coyotes are 1-6 in their last 7 games playing on 0 days rest and the Coyotes are 1-5 in their last 6 overall while the Coyotes are 4-1 in their last 5 vs. a team with a losing record. The under is 4-0-1 in Islanders last 5 vs. Pacific and theIslanders are 1-7 in their last 8 overall while the under is 5-1 in Islanders last 6 overall. The over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in New York and the home team is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings while the Coyotes are 1-5 in the last 6 meetings in New York.
I think the Islanders would be the choice but the Coyotes need to settle on a goalie and have yet to name a starter...
