The Anaheim Ducks look to get their offense rolling as they head into San Jose to take on the Sharks in a Pacific division show down.
The Ducks dealt the Canucks their first regulation loss of the season in their last outing and will look for an encore here as they head into San Jose to battle the Sharks in a show down of Pacific division rivals. The Ducks got a big outing from their top two forwards as both Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry filled up the score sheet and they will be out for a similar level of production on the road against a Sharks team that has won their only appearance at the Shark Tank this season. Anaheim will likely turn to John Gibson in this one as he aims to improve on his play in the early part of the season as he will match up against Martin Jones who is in his second full season as the team’s every day starter.

The Sharks are the reigning Western Conference champions and have gotten out to a strong start this season as they aim to conquer some unfinished business with sights set on another lengthy run into the playoffs. San Jose has the roster to compete with anybody in the NHL and if they can get another strong campaign from Jones between the pipes they will be in great shape as he has been the x-factor for this San Jose team who continues to be a playoff contender year in and year out.
The Ducks are 2-6 in their last eight overall and 1-5 in their last six road games while the Sharks are 6-1 in their last seven against the Pacific and 12-3 in their last 15 Tuesday games. San Jose is the better team and will be out to prove it in this battle against the Ducks who are also considered a top team in the West. Take the Sharks at home.
