NHL hockey comes to New Jersey when the Chicago Blackhawks visit the Devils.
The Chicago Blackhawks will be looking to get back in the win column after a very tough 3-2 loss to visiting Calgary. It was a bit on the disappointing side as Kris Versteeg scored the game winner in the SO with Sean Monahan and Sam Bennett scored in regulation for the Flames to help Brian Elliott and his 31 stops a winning performance which put an end to a two game winning streak. The Blackhawks offense came off the sticks of Brian Campbell and Patrick Kane but Corey Crawford finally surrendered the winner after stopping 29 shots in regulation.

The New Jersey Devils have made a living of playing things close to the vest before squeezing out wins. The Devils come off a 5-3 win versus visiting Arizona which was typically close until late and more high scoring then usual. Taylor Hall and Travis Zajac were the offensive stars for NJ with two goals apiece with Corey Schneider picking up the win with 28 stops as New Jersey improved to 3-0-0. The Coyotes received a pair of goals from Oliver Ekman-Larsson with Jordan Martinook also finding the back of the net but 30 saves from Justin Peters was not enough to keep Arizona from falling to 1-5-0.
The over is 6-1 in Blackhawks last 7 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and the Blackhawks are 1-4 in their last 5 games playing on 3 or more days rest while the over is 11-3-7 in Blackhawks last 21 after scoring 2 goals or less in their previous game. The Devils are 4-0 in their last 4 home games and the Devils are 12-2 in their last 14 vs. Western Conference while the over is 5-1 in Devils last 6 after scoring 5 goals or more in their previous game. The over is 3-1-2 in the last 6 meetings and the Blackhawks are 3-9 in the last 12 meetings in New Jersey.
New Jersey has been tough to deal with at home and the over shouldn’t be overlooked but we need to see lines and goalies…
