The Line: Montreal Canadiens / Toronto Maple Leafs --- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
NHL hockey comes to the Bell Centre where the Montreal Canadiens host the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Toronto Maple Leafs looked like a team without direction two days earlier in a 7-4 loss to Tampa Bay but shook off that poor performance with a great one in a 3-2 victory versus visiting Florida. Goalie Frederik Anderson was under a microscope after surrendering all seven goals to the Lightning in the worse effort of his career but he responded well in stopping 29 Panthers shots to get the win. The Maple Leafs received a pair of goals from Tyler Bozak with James van Riemsdyk also lighting the lamp while Mitch Marmer logged three assists. Jonathan Marchessault scored both goals for the Panthers while Roberto Luongo gave up all three goals on 28 shots.

The hottest team in the NHL showed no signs of slowing down as the Montreal Canadiens defeated a pretty good Tampa Bay squad 3-1 to earn victory number six in a row. The Canadiens rallied from a 1-0 third period deficit wit goals off the sticks of Alex Galchenyuk and Max Pacioretty with Torrey Mitchell finding the empty net. Carey Price came up with several huge stops to total 30 saves to keep the Habs rolling against a quality opponent. Tampa Bay’s lone goal came from Alex Killhorn but Ben Bishop faltered just enough in the third period to finish with 23 saves to absorb the loss.
The Maple Leafs are 0-4 in their last 4 games following a win and the over is 3-0-3 in Maple Leafs last 6 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game while going over is 6-1-1 in Maple Leafs last 8 road games. The Canadiens are 4-0 in their last 4 games playing on 1 days rest and the Canadiens are 6-0 in their last 6 overall while the Canadiens are 5-0 in their last 5 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game. The Maple Leafs are 0-6 in the last 6 meetings in Montreal and the Maple Leafs are 3-13 in the last 16 meetings while the over is 11-5-1 in the last 17 meetings.
The Canadiens seem like the obvious choice along with the over but I have been around long enough to know nothing is for sure. Please check back when goalies and lines come out…
