The New Jersey Devils look to shake off a tough overtime loss at home against the Blackhawks as they host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.
The Lightning look to continue their strong start to the year as they take on the Devils in New Jersey on Saturday who are coming off a tough loss against the Hawks while still earning a point in overtime. The Bolts come into this one with a 5-1 record in their last six games against the Eastern Conference and are considered one of the best teams in the NHL this season as they have a very deep roster with plenty of recent playoff experience. Tampa Bay will send Ben Bishop to the crease in this one as he will match up against his fellow countryman in Corey Schneider who is back in after a night off last night.

The Devils need to find a way to start generating some more offense and while newcomer Taylor Hall is having a very strong start to the season the rest of the offense has been quiet and if they’re going to beat the Lightning they need to find a way to score some more goals. New Jersey held a 2-1 lead against the Hawks last night but gave up two unanswered and lost in overtime and will need a rebound effort at home against a Tampa side that can score in bunches. The Devils do get Schneider back here who has become one of the best goalies in the NHL but was on the bench last night as Keith Kinkaid got the call.
The Bolts are 5-1 in their last six against the Eastern Conference and 7-3 in their last 10 road games while the Devils are 4-0 in their last four home games and 1-7 in their last eight against the Atlantic. The Devils are in a back to back but are getting some serious value here as they always play well at home and have one of the bets goalies in the league playing tonight. New Jersey is worth the risk here
