The Columbus Blue Jackets look for an encore after obliterating the Canadiens last night as they take to the road to face off with the St. Louis Blues.
The Blue Jackets put up one of the most dominating victories in two decades as they pasted the Canadiens to the tune of a 10-0 final and will look to keep the offense rolling on Saturday as they head into St. Louis to face the Blues. Columbus had four separate goal scorers register two goal games and while they aren’t really known for their offensive flare they certainly played the role perfectly on Friday and if they can find a way to solve Jake Allen in this one they have a very good shot at earning their second win in as many nights. Columbus will likely stick with Sergei Bobrovsky in this one as he will face off against Allen who is in the midst of his first season as the every day starter for the Blues.

The Blues are off to a modest start but still have a winning record with a 5-4-2 mark but have been considered a bit of a disappointment to start as they have Cup aspirations this season and haven’t really looked the part through 11 games. St. Louis is always a tough out, especially at home and Columbus will have their work cut out for them here despite basically having the night off last night as they walked all over the Canadiens. Jake Allen is a capable option in the St. Louis crease and forced the team’s hand in the offseason as they were able to let go of Brian Elliott and so far the move looks to have paid off.
The Blue Jackets are 4-0 in their last four against the Central and 5-2 in their last seven road games while the Blues are 1-4 in their last five overall and 1-4 in their last five against the East. Columbus is playing very well right now and while they may be on the fade here after such a lopsided win last night I think they get it done in St. Louis.
