The Columbus Blue Jackets look for another big victory as they take to the road to match up against the Boston Bruins on Thursday.
The Blue Jackets look to build on their 3-2 overtime win against the Anaheim Ducks last night as they head into Bean Town to take on the Bruins who will be out to improve their standing in the Atlantic division in a game that should be very competitive. The Jackets have been a pleasnt surprise to start the year and have scoffed at any of their skeptics who said they would be a bottom feeder again this season, but with a decently well balanced attack and a blue line led by Seth Jones they are in a good spot right now and have their goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky to thank as he has been excellent so far. However, we are likely to see Curtis McIlhenny in this one as the team is in a back to back and he will have to go save for save with Tuukka Rask.

The Bruins meanwhile are 5-5 in their last 10 games overall and are 7-6 on the year but are a disappointing 2-3 at home where they usually make up a ton of ground and they will be out to change that starting tonight. Boston has a pretty strong roster up top led by Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand but they are a far cry from where they were a few seasons ago when they were a perennial Eastern Conference power and unless they can add a few pieces throughout the season or some guys step up I think they will be a fringe playoff team at best.
The Jackets are 0-5 in their last five Thursday games and 5-2 in their last seven road games against a team with a losing home record while the Bruins are 4-0 in their last four Thursday games and 2-5 in their last seven against the Metro. Columbus is playing well right now but they are due for a loss and on the road against a Bruins side looking to change their fate looks to be as good a spot as any.
