Matt Moulson leads Buffalo with six goals, Kyle Okposo has four assists and Ryan O'Reilly has 43 shots on goal. The St. Louis Blues could also use a victory after losing seven of their last 10 games. The Blues are averaging 2.3 goals per game and are scoring on 20.7 percent of their power play opportunities. Vladimir Tarasenko leads St. Louis with six goals, Kevin Shattenkirk has eight assists and Paul Stastny has 28 shots on goal. Defensively, the St. Louis Blues are allowing 2.9 goals per game and are killing 90.6 percent of their opponents power plays. Jake Allen has given up 29 goals on 280 shots faced and Carter Hutton has allowed 14 goals on 140 shots. The St. Louis Blues have lost seven straight games when allowing more than one goal.
The Sabres are 37-87 in their last 124 road games and 84-177 in their last 261 overall. The Blues are 0-4 in their last 4 games playing on 2 days rest and 45-21 in their last 66 vs. Atlantic. The Sabres are 0-4 in the last 4 meetings in St. Louis and 3-18-2 in the last 23 meetings overall.
I usually fade the Buffalo Sabres on the road regardless of who they're playing, but this line makes it hard to do that. The Blues aren't playing good hockey and aren't winning games to be worthy of such insane juice. Yes, the Sabres are awful on the road and the Blues have owned Buffalo over the years, but given the Blues form, there's value with the Sabres in this spot.
