The Nashville Predators head to the Scottrade Center to battle the St. Louis Blues in an NHL hockey tilt.
Every team in the NHL has nights where everything goes their way or everything goes wrong and on Thursday night the Nashville Predators could do no wrong. Both ends of the ice were clicking in a 5-1 victory at Ottawa who has not been able to score and the Preds took complete advantage. The balanced Predators attack featured goals from Pontus Aberg, Colton Sissons, Ryan Ellis, Mike Ribeiro and James Neal which was overkill for Pekka Rinne who picked up the win with 30 saves. Mike Condon wasn’t real sharp despite a 35 save performance while the offensively challenged Senators lone goal came from Derick Brassard.

In a rematch of last season’s Western Conference finals, the St. Louis Blues downed San Jose 3-2 for a bit of revenge against the team that booted them from the playoffs in dix games. Jake Allen was outstanding between the pipes with 29 stops to get the victory while Jaden Schwartz lit the lamp twice with David Perron also scoring. The Sharks had chances but an 0-6 with the man advantage and a 6-on-4 edge with nearly a minute remaining in regulation added to the frustration. Kevin LeBlanc scored his first career goal and Logan Couture joined him in the scoring column but Martin Perez needed more help from his defense as he was screened often.
The Predators are 4-0 in their last 4 when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game and the over is 6-1-1 in Predators last 8 after scoring 5 goals or more in their previous game while the under is 4-1-1 in Predators last 6 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game. The under is 2-0-2 in Blues last 4 when their opponent scores 5 goals or more in their previous game and the under is 6-1-1 in Blues last 8 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 while the under is 6-1-3 in Blues last 10 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game. The Predators are 0-4 in the last 4 meetings in St. Louis and the home team is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings while the over is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings in St. Louis.
St. Louis has done well against the Predators and the over has been productive as well but please check back when goalies are confirmed…
