The Avs were expected to struggle this season and have no chance at the playoffs and the Kings were expected to compete for a playoff spot; not the divison crown. However, the NHL is full of surprises and these teams are just that. In the last month, both of these teams have been hot. The Kings just recently came off that 9 game winning streak and the Avs are riding on a 4 game winning streak aswell. The question is: which team will win tonight? Unfortunetly, I don't see enough trends to tell you that but I can tell you that this game will go over 5.5 goals. Both of these teams can score and score a lot. In the past 2 weeks, both teams are scoring a combined 7 goals per game. And with Jon Quick still out with the flu, you can expect Erik Ersberg to get the call in goal for the Kings. Coloardo played last night and Craig Anderson played an amazing for them in goal. The Avs haven't announced who will start but it will most likely be Peter Budaj accorinding to sources. Peter Budaj hasn't started in over a month so expect him to be rusty. The Avs defeceman will be tired aswell from playing a tough game last night so don't be surprised if you see a lot of goals early on in the game. This game is screaming OVER.
