Just got home from work and a 2-hour Friday commute so I'm sorry for the later than usual post.
Let's take a look at tonight's MLB FanDuel "Main Slate" that features 13 games and starts at 7:05pm.
This is really just going to be an image only as we're only about 40 minutes away from first pitch.
I'm paying up for Gerrit Cole in his match-up agianst Kansas City. Cole has been lights out this season, posting a 2.73 ERA & 0.92 WHIP while posting an incredible 13.72 K/9 ratio. Cole struggled a bit in his only start agianst the Royals earlier this season, but he did strike out 9 in 6.1 IP and I think he has the biggest upside of any of the high-priced pitchers tonight.
We need to go with some value on the offensive end, and it starts with a 3-man stack of Seattle Mariners in their great match-up against Dylan Covey of the White Sox who comes into this game with a 7.69 ERA & 1.69 WHIP while allowing his opponents to post a .296 average/.881 OPS.
Staying in this match-up, I don't mind going with the White Sox's Eloy Jimenez who who 2 HR's & 9 RBI's over his last three games in his match-up agianst the Mariners LHP, Yusei Kikuchi.
We got some value bats with Baltimore's Rio Ruiz & Mark Trumbo in their match-up agianst the RHP Jordan Zimmerman of the Tigers who comes into this game with a 6.27 ERA & 1.43 WHIP while allowing this opponents to post a .297 average/.842 OPS. Zimmerman has really struggled at home allowing opponents to hit .342 against him.
We have some value in San Diego's Josh Naylor who has a favorable match-up at Coors Field against the Rockies Jeff Hoffman.
Rounding out the team, we're paying up for Alex Bregman which is always a smart think to do when he is up agianst a LHP (Danny Duffy).
