Manchester United come into this game off the back of a loss to arch rivals Liverpool, David Moyes will look to get his team back on track when they take on newly promoted Crystal Palace on Saturday morning. Old Trafford will be buzzing with anticipation and the Manchester United fans will be looking for the team to put on a show. Wilfred Zaha the former Crystal Palace player will hope to get into the match day squad for this game and to make an appearance against his former team. Robin Van Persie comes off the international break having hit three goals in two games and will be looking to bring that form to Old Trafford and to fire Manchester United back up the league table. With Wayne Rooney still out injured I imagine Moyes will turn to Danny Wellbeck and Shinji Kagawa to fill the void left by Rooney's absence. There is no doubt Rooney was missed at Anfield against Liverpool but even though United lost that game, they dominated the match and deserved more from their dominance.
There are few managers in the league that are as entertaining as Ian Holloway, the Crystal Palace manager is a great addition to the league. He speaks his mind and tells it as he see's it and his honesty is refreshing, mind you he often falls foul of the League for outbursts against referees but I was happy to see Holloway get a victory in their last game against Sunderland. Crystal Palace got a a much needed win against Sunderland last time out having lost their first two league games. Holloway will look to experienced players like Cameron Jerome, Kevin Philips, Danny Gabbidon and former Arsenal man Marouann Chamakh to lead the way for his young side. But this fixture on Saturday will not determine whether Palace's season is a success, as going to take on Manchester United at Old Trafford very few teams will leave with anything.
A mismatch on paper and I think we will see Manchester United exploit the difference between the sides on the pitch as well. David Moyes has taken alot of stick having lost to Liverpool and I am sure will be keen to get a win at Old Trafford and I'm sure his side will put in an impressive performane on Saturday morning. There is always a chance that after International week big teams like Manchester United can struggle due to the amount of players on international duty but in this case I think that the pressure to perform and win should keep the United players focused and I think United will play a fast paced attacking game on Saturday morning. I'm going to take United to be leading at halftime. Those looking for a bigger gamble should take Manchester United -2 on the handicap at a big 6/4. Follow me on twitter@antonpippo
