Stoke City vs Manchester City
Mark Hughes, the Stoke City boss, will want to get one over on his former employers when he faces Manchester City at the Britannia Stadium. Stoke City play tough at home and are always one of the tougher places to go in the Premier League. Manuel Pelligrini will get his first taste of a tough trip to Stoke, with Sergio Aguero and Eden Dzeko starting to look like a good partnership. I'm sure Manchester City will fancy their chances of getting the win here, but this game will be a tough battle. Stoke will pack the midfield and shut off the supply to Manchester City's front men, Ya Ya Toure will find midfield a packed place and there will be very little space for David Silva to weave his magic. I'm taking Stoke on the handicap, as I think Stoke can frustrate Manchester City here and come away with a point, at worst I think we end with a push.
Pick: Stoke City +1
Sunderland vs Arsenal
Of all the games this weekend, this one between Arsenal and Sunderland will be one of the most highly anticipated, as Arsenal new boy Mezut Ozil is due to make his debut. The former Real Madrid playmaker was a huge coup for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal fans will be looking for an immediate return on the £42.5million the club paid for the German superstar. Paulo Di Canio, the Sunderland boss, will be hoping that Ozil has a slow start to his career and that his Sunderland side can frustrate Arsenal. Sunderland were beaten 3-1 last time out by Crystal Palace and will be missing captain John O'Shea, who is suspended. Arsenal have four wins in a row (two in European competition) since losing to Aston Villa on opening day. They will look to make it three here and I think Sunderland are just not going to be able to stop the Gunners.
Pick: Arsenal to win
Tottenham Hotspur vs Norwich City
Gareth Bale is no longer a Tottenham Player and life without Bale begins on Saturday at White Hart Lane when Tottenham take on Norwich City. Andre Villa Boas will look to his big money signings, Soldado, Lamela and Erickson to help the crowd forget Bale and I think that on Saturday the shackles will come off a Tottenham team that have stuggled to score from open play thus far this season. Spurs have only netted two goals in three games and all three of their games this season have finished 1-0. Norwich City have also struggled in front of goal and won 1-0 last time out against Southampton in a game that they easily could have lost. Overall, Norwich manager Chris Hughton is doing a great job and he will look to set his team up to be hard to beat when the Canaries visit Tottenham this weekend. But on Saturday, I have a feeling that Tottenham are due a big offensive performance and I think if spurs get on top early, they could win this game by three or 4. I'm going to take Tottenham to win minus the handicap.
Pick: Tottenham -1
