Paris St Germain had a rough start to the season drawing their opening two games, since those early teething problems the high spending Parisians have won three in a row and superstar strikers Cavani and Ibrahimovich started to look like a partnership. PSG have alot of quality through the team but captain Thiago Silva is the leader of this side and the brilliant Brazilian will be the rock that any success for PSG will be built on. Laurent Blanc replaced Carlo Ancelotti in the summer and the former France boss has his work cut out in getting the team to be succeessful in Europe. With Cavani coming in from Napoli , the Parisians have bought one of the top players in the world a natural goal scorer and a player that gives 100% at all times, Cavani's lung bursting style is in complete contrast to Ibrahimovich who at times could be asleep on the field but together the two do seem to work well and as the season progresses this partnership could become one of the most formidable in Europe.
Olympiakos come into this game having won 4 from 4 in the league and scoring twelve goals and conceding just one. The thing about Greek teams since the national team won the European Championships in 2004 is that they have been tough to beat. Olympiakos manager Michel will look to his experienced front man Saviola to lead from the front and partner Mitroglou will be hoping to continue his hot start to the season( he has 6 goals in 4 games) Can Olympiakos really frustrate this star studded PSG team?
Straight up I like Olympiakos here, I think the Greek side will cause PSG all sorts of problems as they will be really tough defensively and the team is a really really good counter attacking side. PSG will want to get off to a good start in the Champions League but they will definitely not want to lose. I'm going to take Olympiakos on the handicap +1 those looking for a little more gamble should think about taking the draw outright. Follow me on twitter@antonpippo
