Two teams thrown together by their oppulance and extravagant spending Paris St Germaine and Monaco meet tomorrow in a much anticipated Ligue 1 showdown. Paris after starting slowly have now won four games on the trot and Cavani and Ibrahimovich up front are starting to form a partnership that could become one of the most feared in Europe. Cavani was a superb signing coming from Napoli and bringing his all action all heart style of play to a Paris team that definitely needed that type of spark player. Ibrahimovich had a quiet start to the season but has notched three goals in his last four games and there is no doubt that Paris St Germaine will want to impose themselves on Monaco tomorrow to leave no doubt about who is the top dog in Ligue 1.
Monaco were newly promoted from divison 1 this year and their owners went on a spending spree spening over €100million in the summer. Manager Claudio Ranieri has had no teething problems with new striker Ramadal Falcao as the former Athletico Madrid player has just come in and started scoring goals straight away. Beside Falcao young french man Riviere has had a terrific start to the season scoring five goals in five games and looking like an exceptional buy considering Monaco only paid €4million for him in January. Monaco are currently top of the table after a super start to the year one draw and four wins has been an excpetional return to the big time for the club.
Having watched both teams play recently I think this game could be very cat and mouse, I think there will alot of cageyness and I think Monaco will probably be happy to come away from Paris with a draw. With such exceptional attacking talent on display this game could be decided by a piece of individual brilliance. I'm going to take Monaco +1 on the handicap, I like Falcao and I like the way Monaco have started the season. Add in the fact the PSG just played a Champions League game midweek and there could be some tiredness there, Monaco may not come away with an outright win but I think they come away with something.
