I do not like international breaks in the middle of the season. It affects the domestic leagues too much and for us the betting public these games rarely represent any value. The favourites are shorter than they should be and the underdogs are often long ball merchants which leads to some incredible boring games. With that said I've done my best to identify some value from the games tonight and I'm encompassing them all in this one long article. I'm just giving the game and the pick here so as not to bore you all to tears! My tips are in the form or parlays for tonight:
Home Favourites Parlay :
England vs Montenegro
PicK England outright
Portugal vs Israel
Pick: Portugal outright
Germany vs Republic of Ireland
Pick Germany outright
Holland vs Hungary
Pick: Holland outright
Parlay: England, Germany, Portugal and Holland to all win - the bet pays roughly +150 but we are getting here is four heavy home favourites playing inferior opposition. In the cases of England and Portugal both need the win desperately to ensure their qualification bids stay strong. The only game that may have some indifference is Holland who have more or less sown up their group but who have won their last 8 home World Cup qualification games without conceding a goal.
The Happy Punting 100/1 Accy!
Croatia vs Belgium
Denmark vs Italy
Wales vs Macedonia
Sweden vs Austria
Parlay: All of the 4 above mentioned games to finish in a draw( half unit on trebles and a quarter unit on parlay)
Four games where the two teams are well matched. Wales are missing Gareth bale and lost to Macedonaia 2-1 out there in the return fixture I think Wales will be up for it but not sure they have the quality up front to beat a well organised Macedonia team. Croatia and Belgium to well matched sides and Begium I think are slightly stronger and a draw suits them to stay in control of the group. Italy and Denmark is a similar situation to Croatia v Belgium and I think Italy will settle for a point in Denmark. Sweden are currently in second behind Germany and a draw more or less puts them in the driving seat so I think they will be more afraid of losing that going for the win against Austria who are a well organised team and tough to beat.
