At a time when Arsenal fans were beginning to believe in Arsene Wenger and his Arsenal side they go and lose two from three at home to both Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea. The Dortmund defeat was a tough one to take but it shows the importance of never switching off in European games, where one mistake can (and did) cost a team the game. Arsenal will look to bounce back from an uninspiring performance in the Carling Cup against Chelsea where they were comfortably beating and looked out of sync for most of the night, but in their way will be a vibrant Liverpool side that had no midweek fixture due to being knocked out of the Carling Cup already. Arsenal have an array of players in great form with Jack Wilshire finally starting to look like the player we all know he is , to join Aaron Ramsey, Mezut Ozil and Olivier Giroud as players who have been lighting up the league since the start of the season and who it would appear have turned Arsenal into a genuine contender for the Premier League this year.
Once upon a time there was a very lethal striking partnership called S & S, they played for Blackburn and they won the league title. That S & S of course was Premier League all time leading scorer Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton, but Liverpool fans have every reason to be hopeful that the 2013 version of S&S can lead Liverpool to the promised land after Sturridge and Suarez have notched fourteen goals between them so far this season. Brendan Rodgers quite rightly fought to the bitter end to hold onto Suarez this off season and it appears to have paid dividends of course Suarez main suitors were Arsenal and it will be interesting to see how the Emirates stadium reacts to the Urugayian on Saturday afternoon.

This game is being seen as a test for both teams title credentials and it could very well go along way to showing which team is in a better position to challenge for the Premier League title. On paper this game is mouthwatering, two teams that have scored lots of goals and are in good form facing off in a top of the table clash on a Saturday afternoon. I like the look of both teams to score here, I cant see this one finishing 0-0 and I think we'll have plenty of goalmouth action on either side,I'm taking both teams to score and I will have a pick on the sides in the Premium section this weekend.
