The game of the night in the Premier League on Wednesday will see Manchester City travel to London to take on Tottenham. Both teams are in great form in the league with nine wins and a draw in their last ten games collectively. Since taking over Tim Sherwood has yet to taste defeat in the league. Tottenham look revitalised under Sherwood, Adebayor looks a different player and if Roberto Soldado can start finding the net as well then Spurs could be the team to get that fourth Champions League spot. There is alot of quality in Tottenham's midfield and it will be interesting to see if Erickson, Dembele and Paulinho can handle the quality of City's midfield where they will come up against Toure, Fernandinho and Silva. Also an added bit of spice here will be the fact that tottenham lost 6-0 to Manchester City earlier in the year, there will no doubt be some retribution sought by Spurs.
Manchester City have turned around their away form and are currently unbeaten in their last nine away games but all four of City's defeats this season have come away from home and this game against Tottenham represents the first game against a top six team since losing to Chelsea in Stamford Bridge. The quality of Manchester City's squad though is ridiculous Aguero, Negredo, Toure, Silva, Navas, Jovetic, Dzeko, Fernandinho to be honest Manchester CIty coul probably field two teams capable of playing in the Premier League. But with that said football is a strange game and its not always about the individual talent but more so about how the teams gels.
With these two teams going head to head I love the over, most of the stats are in our favour with five of the last seven tottenham home games going over the mark and five of the last seven Manchester City away games also going over. With so much attacking quality on display i just think both of these defences will have their hands full. Taking the over here to cash another winner. Follow me on twitter@antonpippo
