Simple for Everton they must win more away games to get Champions League football, following on from a come from behind victory against Aston Villa Everton will look to get another three points. Its a tough spot for Everton as they travel to Tottenham but simply put Everton must win games like this if they want Champions League football. Roberto Martinez will set up a 4-5-1 formation without his star striker Lukaku I presume kevin Mirallas will again play through the center. Mirallas wasnt all that much of a success against Aston Villa as the wideman played too deep and quiet often picked up the ball in non threatening areas. This is something MArtinez must address in my opinion but with great width in the side in the forms of Baines and Coleman and creativity in Barkley there is enough talent in this Everton team to cause anyone trouble. Add in a solid defence with Gareth Barry sitting deep inmidfield and you've got a good set up that will make a team hard to beat, as has proven this year with Everton losing the least amount of games this year, tied with Chelsea.
Tim Sherwood will be looking for more from his Tottenham team, Spurs were embarressed at home to Manchester City last time out losing 5-1 and the team was let down badly by its full backs. Everton have the pace and wingers to exploit any lapses from the fullbacks tomorrow and it will be interesting to see if Sherwood goes with a 4-4-2 or tries to combat Everton's wingbacks by playing five in midfield. Adebayor has been terrific of late and although Roberto soldado has not found the net his all round play has been excellant. But costing 25million the Spaniard will need to find the net more for Tottenham fans. White Hart Lane should be buzzing tomorrow for a game betweem two teams that at least on paper look very evenly matched.
I'm going with the draw here, I think both teams are actually very well matched and they will council each other out. Everton have drawn six games away from home and I think they will tske another point away from White Hart Lane tomorrow. Follow me on twitter@antonpippo
