So Didier Drogba will return to Stamford Bridge with Galatasaray, the hero of the Champions League victory for Chelsea only a couple of years ago will surely receive a warm welcome when returning to the Bridge for the first time. He comes here with a Galatasaray team that could easily have won the first leg after an inept first half display the Turks regrouped and put in a terrific second half performance with Roberto Mancini's men terrific in the second half. The key for Galatasaray will be Wesley Sneijder and Didier Drogba, if those two can get on enough ball they will create problems for Chelsea at the back but I'm just not sure they can cause enough to stop a Chelsea team who at home have been terrific all seaon.
Chelsea come into this game off a loss at Aston Villa, one in which they had two players sent off an Mourhino sent to the stands. It was a game where chelsea appeared to be hard done by in my opinion and one which they should not have lost. I think there will be a reaction here against Galatasaray but I was liking Chelsea to put in a big performance tonight regardless of the result against Aston Villa. Looking at Chelsea's midfield with Hazard, Oscar, and Ramires and they should just have far too much ability for the hardworking Galatasaray. I think overall this game will be decided in the middle third and I am backing Hazard, the brilliant young Belgian, to be the difference. His performances this year have been immense and he has put himself on the world stage with his consistant brilliance. I think Hazard will inspire the blues to a big win at home and the Stamford Bridge crowd will say good bye to an old hero and confirm allegiance to a new one.
I am taking Chelsea to win by two or more here on the handicap. I just like their ability going forward and think they will handle a workmanlike Galatasaray over the 90 minutes. Take Chelsea -1 and follow me on twitter@antonpippo
