Manchester City come to Old Trafford to take on cross city rivals and current Premier League Champions Manchester United in what promises to be a hotly contested derby game. City come into this game without thecaptain Vincent Kompany (suspended) and Sergio Aguero (Injured) two key players that were the driving force when Manchester City won their Premier League title two years ago. Manuel Pelligrini has an abundance of quality players though and while there is no doubt both Kompany and Aguero will be missed there is ample cover with Nastasic, Negredo, Dzeko, Richards, Jovetich and Lescott all vying for starting spots. Going to Old Trafford looking for a win is tough but with leaders like Ya Ya Toure, David Silva and Negredo there would be no surprise if Manchester City came away with a much needed win.
Light at the end of the tunnel is starting to appear for Manchester United fans who have been in a haze of disbelief all season. A great win and performance in Old Trafford against Olympiakos was followed by a solid outing at West Ham where Wayne Rooney inspired Manchester United to a two nil win with one of the candidates for goal of the year. Thats three wins from four for United and something of a belief buildingamong the supporters that David Moyes will indeed be the man to lead Manchester United into the future.Wayne Rooney's long term contract has identified him as the face of the franchise for the years to come and both club and managerwill look to Rooney to leadby example against Manchester City.
Both teams are missing their captains through suspension and both Vidic and Kompany's loss significantly weakens the defence of either team. I think that we see both offences get the upper hand and I will be back ing th overs tomorrow as I see this one being a freeflowing counter attack heavy game. I'm taking the overs.
