Crystal Palace under Tony Pulis have been really hard to break down, since coming in Pulis has steadied the ship but unfortunately the team while being really solid defensively have not been able to score enough goals to pull away from the relegation zone. Sitting three points above the relegation places is not a comfortable place for the Eagles and with Sunderland also having a game in hand its going to be a really tense last eight games for Crystal Palace fans. Facing off against league leading Chelsea who just banged six goals past Arsenal is probably not what Palace fans want this weekend but you can be assured Tony Pulis will have his team prepared. Crystal Palace will play a five man midfield , pack the playing area in front of the goals and just be really difficult to break down. In systems like this the wingers are key and in Puncheon , Bolasi and Bannen Pulis has three guys who will work their socks off for the team and stay disciplined. Speroni in goals has been immense for Crystal Palace all season so it will take something special to beat him from distance and with Chelsea not possessing a free scoring forward these days this could be a really interesting battle.
Chelsea obviously come into this game on a high after beatin Arsenal 6-0, the result was justified though once Arsenal went down to ten men and even before that Chelsea were by far the better team. Schurrle, Eto and Hazard worked very well together and also found the net while the subs got in on the scoring act in the second half with Oscar and Salah also finding the net. There is the small matter of a quarter final of the Champions League on Wednesday night also on the horizon for the blues it is really the business end of the season the games will be coming thick and fast and Mourhino will need to use all of his squad in the next few weeks.
This game looks a model for an unders bet, Palace just dont concede alot of goals and neither do Chelsea. Add that to the fact that neither Chelsea nor Palace have been scoring huge amounts obviously with the Arsenal game last week being an excpetion rather than a rule. I think Crystal Palace wont roll over here and this could be one that tests Chelsea right to the very end. Both are in desperate need of the points for different reasons but I do think Chelsea will just about get there in the end. I'm taking the unders here on one of my favourite lines of the weekend. I also have a couple of other 1 unit bets ourlined that have bigger odds for those looking for a bit more risk. 13 of the last 15 Crystal Palace games have been under 2.5 goals. 7 of the last 8 Chelsea away games have been under 2.5 goals.
