On wednesday Sunderland pulled off one of the shocks of the season taking a point from Manchester City in Manchester, only the second team to take anything away from the Ethiad this season. Gus Poyet's team have taken four points from Manchester City this season and will be hoping that the result can inspire the Black Cats in their fight against relegation. Conor Wickham scored twice on Wednesday night and his goals will be vital if Sunderland are to avoid relegation. Fabio Borini and Wickham will be key to survival as goals are where Sunderland have struggled this season. In fact the black cats have only managed seven goals away from home and considering two of them were scored on Wednesday you can see the big problem for Sunderland at the moment is finding the net.
Chelsea come into this game knowing that the fate of the league is now in their own hands. Win all four games and the blues will be crowned Champions and Jose Mourhino's men have built this league challenge on their exceptional home form where the Blues are unbeaten and have only dropped four points all season. Key to the Chelsea success is the quality across the team in the middle with Lampard, Oscar,Hazard, Schurrle, Matic, Willian all fighting for a starting spot. Up front Chelsea's struggles have been well documented but with Demba Ba, Torres and Eto there is loads of top class players even if this season they have struggled to find the net.
Tough game to handicap here in my opinion. Having looked at the odds though I like Chelsea to be leading at halftime. Its almost even money and Chelsea have been leading in 10 of their 17 home games so far this term. Tough game for Sunderland especially after playing Manchester City in Manchester on Wedensday.
