Bosnia-Herzegovina will play its last World Cup match on Wednesday against an Iran team that still has something to play for as of right now.
It’s going to be interesting to see which Iran team comes out considering it was just a couple of minutes away from settling for the draw against Argentina. Of course, Lionel Messi found the net and broke the hearts of every Iran fan in the world. Still, Iran picked up a point against Nigeria and still has a shot to advance if it can win this match. You can’t like the fact Iran has yet to score in the tournament and only controlled the ball for 30 percent of its match against Argentina. However, you get the feeling Javad Nekounam, who had six international goals last year, is due for a breakout performance.

Bosnia-Herzegovina will be playing for pride in this match after losses in its first two games. Despite getting 18 shots off and controlling the ball for 54 percent of the match, Bosnia-Herzegovina lost to Nigeria, 1-0. Edin Džeko did score a goal late in the match, but was ruled offsides, a call that was incorrect when looking at the replay. The lack of experience, controversial calls and inconsistent play have made this a very frustrating tournament for Bosnia-Herzegovina. Like Iran, it’s going to be intriguing to see which team shows up for this match after such a devastating loss.
It’s tough to pick a winner in this match given the fact you’re not sure which team is going to show up after they both had their heart ripped out a couple of days ago. That’s why I’m going with the under. Iran has yet to score and is probably going to come out tight knowing it needs the win, while Bosnia-Herzegovina may just give up if getting down early in the match.
Defense will rule and I like the plus money value.
