On Mondya night Ennar Valencia announced himself to the English Premier League with a sumptuous strike agaisnt Hull, the Equadorian striker looked dangerous throughout and he may be a key player for the hammers this season. Add in the additions of Zarate, Amalfitano and Sakho and West Ham look to have done so decent business in the transfer market. While Sam Allardyce's side have still struggled to assert themselves as players get to know the system and each other I think that this West Ham side is actually quite well balance and could end up in the top half of the league table if Allardyce can get the mix right and if Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll can get back to full fitness by Christmas.
Brendan Rodgers took the blame for the defeat last week, he got the tactics and team selection wrong and Liverpool paid the price when they conceded an early goal and couldnt break down a stubborn Aston Villa defence. Liverpool then struggled to break down the Hungarian minnows Ludogrets midweek and questions about Liverpools attack will continue to be asked until Liverpool start winning games comfortably. The loss of Suarez in the summer cannot be underestimated, he was a huge presence both on and off the field and the goals he brought to the club are irreplaceable. Daniel Sturridge is now injured and at the moment Balotelli is only finding his feet. Liverpool may struggle for the next couple of weeks and alot of pressure will be on Couthino and Sterling to provide the goals.
I think the handicap betting on West Ham could be worth taking here but the overs are also appealing to me. The reason the overs are appealing even with Liverpool's struggles in front of goal they have still been involved in games with goals. Four of Liverpools hlast five have gone over the 2.5 mark. Four of the last five WEst Ham games have also gone over the mark. I'm going to take the overs here follow me on twitter@antonpippo
