Arsenal now have nine players on the treatment table, there is an injury crisis at the Emirates and Arsene Wenger will hope to get through the next couple of weeks without picking up any significant knocks. Losing Koscielny was a big blow to Arsenal and added to Chambers suspension and Debuchy's long term injury absence it leaves the Arsenal back four struggling. Arsenal will turn to their midfield and strikeforce to bail out the back four with Wellbeck, Sanchez, Ozlade Chamberlain expected to lead from the front for the Gunners. Coming into this game Wenger will be looking to get his side back on track after a 2-0 loss to Chelsea, a game in which Chelsea were comfortably better than Arsenal throughout and one in which Wellbeck and Sanchez really failed to impress.
A win over Crystal Palace last time out allowed Hull to bounce back from two unlucky defeats in which they had played quite well. Steve Bruce has assembled a good squad the addition of Diame and Hernandez in the summer have proven to be excellant signings and Diame in particular has been impressive netting three goals in his four starts this season. Robbie Brady's return from injury has been a welcomed addition and option and Niko Jelavich has found his scoring boots again netting four goals in seven games this year.
This will be a tougher game for Arsenal than many will imagine, although in the Emirates Hull have some great attacking players and will look to get at the makeshift Arsenal back four. Jelavich, Diame and Hernandez will score if presented the opportunity. While at the other end Sanchez and Wellbeck can fire in the goals if given the opportunity. I like the overs here and thats what I will be taking. There is always the worry that the away team comes to the Emirates and parks the bus but I think Hull have enough about themselves to fancy their chances of winning this win against an understrenght Arsenal. That should lead to an open game and more goals. Follow me on twitter@antonpippo
