Tough trip here for Juventus after struggling against Sassulo on Saturday night they face a trip to Olympiakos to take on the greek side that beat Athletico Madrid 3-2 here on the opening week. Juventus while full of quality have really struggled in Europe the last couple of years and lost to Madrid last time out in the Champions League. A loss in Greece would really put a dent in Juventus hopes of progressing to the knockout stages although at the moment all four teams are level on points with one win a piece. Carlos Tevez has netted six in six in the league and two in two in the Champions League a remarkable start for the ex Manchester United star, his hot start has led Juventus to the top of the table but the team will need more contributions from Vidal, Pogba and Llorente with regard to goals if they are to be a success this year.
Olympiakos got off to the best possible start in the Champions league defeating last years beaten finalists Atheltico Madrid in the opening round of fixtures. Manager Michel has got a balanced side who work hard for each other the additions of Afellay and Mitroglu added quality to the already hard working core and there is no doubt that it will be a hostile atmosphere in Greece. One which the home side will feed off.
I like the home side here on the handicap, Juventus have struggled away from home the last couple of years in the Champions League and Greece is a tough place to go and win. Added to that Olympiakos have some quality players in Mitroglu, Kasami and Affelay who could hurt Juventus on the counter attack. I expect a low scoring highly defensive game and wouldnt be surprised if this one finished 1-1 but I am taking Olympiakos on the handicap. Follow me on twitter@antonpippo
