One of the biggest games in football will take place on Saturday at the Bernabeau in Madrid as great rivals Real Madrid host Barcelona. Real have won eight in a row in all competitions and over that stretch Cristiano Ronaldo has scored sixteen goals. Yes you are reading that right, Ronaldo has scored on average two a game over the last eight games and has actually scored in the last ten games he has played in. Carlo Ancelotti's side look absolutely unstoppable at the moment althought they more than likely will be missing Gareth Bale through injury. Early reports this week were that Bale would definitely miss this game but he was left out of the squad for the midweek game with Liverpool and has a chance of making the squad for Saturday evenings game. With James Rodriguez, Kroos, Hernandez, Benzema and Modric there is no shortage of attacking talent within the Real Madrid squad and therefore the loss of Bale will be felt but can be managed.
The two south american superstars Messi and Neymar have finally found a groove to work together and both look sensational so far this season. With a goal a game each this season we could be seeing the formation of one of the greatest strike partnerships of all time. Barcelona are still unbeaten this season but this game will be the yardstick by how their season thus far is measured. In their one big test this year Barcelona lost to Paris Saint-Germain and that PSG team are not on the same level as Real. Iniesta was at his best midweek against Ajaz, turning provider for Messi early in the game. Neymar finished with aplomb in the same game and while on the field those three looked really good. Barca still have question marks about their back four and I would question whether they will be able to handle Ronaldo and Benzema without maybe playing a defensive midfielder to protect that back four.

The first El Classico of the year should see fireworks at the Bernabeau, we have two sensational teams meeting in a game that could go along way to deciding where the league championship ends up. This should be a brilliant game of football. We as a viewing public are truly blessed to be seeing Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi playing football against each other at least twice a year. Both of these individuals have changed the landscape of football for the future and they have broken almost every record imaginable. To see them go head to head again on Saturday at the height of their powers is just terribly exciting. As a game I think this one plays out as a home win. I like Real Madrid to get the win here, I just think Ronaldo, Benzema, James will have too much for a Barcelona backline that looked truly lost against PSG. This should be a great game though and I will be firmly attacked to me couch for the it. As regards a pick though I would go big on the overs, I do like Madrid to win but I think the overs is a better bet here. With Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar and Bezmea how can this one stay under? It cant .
