The second game in the Premier League on Sunday will see two teams that are strugglng for form come head to head. Tottenham have lost two ina row in the league losing to Manchester City two weeks agobefore throwing away a 1-0 lead against Newcastle last weekend. The second loss will have hurt Pochettinos side deeply as a win there , in a game they were expected to win would have left them in seventh inthe table with a chance to go ashigh as third with a win against Villa. Eric Lamela and Harry Kane have both been finding the nets in the smaller competitions of late but have yet to find the net in the Premier League. Christian Erickson and Roberto Soldado both playedextremely well in Manchester but once fazio seen red then Spurs capitulated. As a wholeTottenham just dont seem to have the balance to put two performances back to back and its possible the Europa league is a distraction that the team could do without.
While Aston Villa have lost five in a row in the league it's amazing that the team has not managed a solitary goal in those five games especially considering the return o Christian Benteke and the pace of Agbonlahor and Weimann on the wings. The Roy Keane experiment got off to a great start with Keane seemingly instrumental as an assistant to Paul Lambert in an early season run that seenVilla as high as secondin the league table. But a tough run of fixtures Arsenal, Chelsea, City and Everton left Villa with four losses andthen an away game at QPR last Monday compounded their misery. I do think this is a decent Aston Villa team though and at home in Villa park against a flaky Tottenham team I am considering going all in on a Villa win.

My thinking on this game is simple, Aston Villa are much better than their results indicate. They have had absoluely noluck in the last five games and have a strikerforce that is due some luck and improvement. Benteke will be getting better with each game and I fully expect the big belgian to cause all sorts of problems for Spurs tomorrow. Villa may not win this one outright but I think they at least cover the handicap and I am going to have a little bet on them causing the upset as a home underdog.
