One of three early games in the Barclays Premier League will take place in White Hart Lane on Sunday as Tottenham Hotspur hosts Stoke City. Tottenham have won four of the last five in all competitions. Harry Kane is emerging from the bench as a sort of cult hero in the lane, Kane has scored six goals in the last five for Spurs and has only started in three of those games. The reality is that Kane is an average player but is providing a spark from the bench and probably deserve a start, will he get it tomorrow? Probably , because as the sayin goes horses for courses. Stoke are a big physical team and that will suit Kane. Expect to see the big man front and center for Mauricio Pochettino's men tomorrow. But as far as talent goes the class in the Spurs team lies with Eric Lamela and Christian Erickson. If these two play well Spurs will have a chance to win.
While Mark Hughes was disgusted with the second half capitulation against West Ham last week I am certain he will have been delighted with how well Stoke played up until the 60th minute. Diouf has been a goodaddition and the former Manchester United striker is adding goals and a serious pace threat to the Stoke line up. Stoke still play a physical game though and PeterCrouch is a key player for the Potters. Crouch spent two years at Tottenham and has never scored for Stoke against his former club. Stoke fans will be hoping he can resolve this issue tomorrow at the Lane.

Quite an interesting match up here, Tottenham have been playing very well of late and Stoke have struggled somewhat for consistancy. I still think Tottenham are too short for any value but I am going to take both teams to score. Tottenham have scored in each of their last nine games and Stoke have found the net in seven of the last eight.
