Of all the games on Wednesday night the one I am most looking forward to is Argentina against Croatia. The game takes place in London at the home of West Ham United, Upton Park. In what should be a terrific atmosphere we will get to see thirty of the best players on the planet. World Cup finalists Argentina will take to the field with a front three consisting of Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) Lionel Messi (Barcelona) and Carlos Tevez (Juventus) with a coupld of bench players in Eric Lamela (Tottenham Hotspur) and Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli) I am not sure if there has ever been an international team with so much talent spread across so many of the top leagues. Angel Di Maria has been the best player in England since arriving at Manchester United and the former Real Madrid winger will try to maintain is terrific form with his country.
On the other side Croatia have their own star studded team, Di Maria's former Real Madrid teammate Luka Modric is the best player on the Croatia side but he is assisted by a strong defence with Dejan Lovren of Liverpool the key man. Also Croatia have former Bayern Munich striker and current Atheltico Madrid star Mario Mandzukich who will lead the line with Barcelona's Rakitic sitting in just behind. This is a very very good side and they will look to give Argentina a good test here. It will be a good match for both teams and one that should be enjoyed by the viewing public. Anyone who is in London and can get their hands on tickets should think about going along to Upton Park. It is not often that we get to see so many brilliant players on a pitch together.

Again my old mantra with regard to friendlies is not to bet on them as there are so many intangibles but Croatia are a good side and are being written off by the bookmakers here, I wouldn't be against taking the Croatians outright but on the handicap t +2 the Croatians are definitely the value play. Keep the stakes small and enjoy what should be a cracking game of football.
