The last time these two met was in the World Cup where the Netherlands scored two goals in the last three minutes to a rob a victory against a valiant Mexico team who had been terrific throughout the competition. A talented Mexico side led by Real Madrid striker Javier Hernandez will eb looking for some semblence of revenge here at the Amsterdam Arena. Gio dos Santos, Carlos Vela and Herrera will be key to a midfield that is tryign to contain Robben, the man who destroyed their dreams in Brazil. While most of the Mexicans benefitted from their good run in the competition goalkeeper Ochoa moved to Malaga where he is yet to play a game, the price of moving to a big club, which could mean he misses out on starting for Mexico due to lack of gametime. A tragedy for sure as his heroics in the World Cup were astounding.
The Netherlands will be using this game as a way to get back on track after losing two of their three European qualification games thus far. Robin Van Persie, Klaas Huntelaar, Robben and Sneijder will be looking to get things back on track as they know this is probably their last international tournament and they will want to try to get a European Championship winners medal. Its now a tough ask having lost two. But with the talent in this dutch squad and a manager like Gus Hiddink there is no doubt that they can turn it around. Tomorrow should be an open game and I expect the dutch to use this as a learning curve game. This willl probably be far more open than a qualifying campaign game and I expect to see some goals.

This is a prime example of why I dont like betting friendlies, so many variable here and a good likelyhood that both teams take 6-7 players off maybe even at half time. Especially the Netherlands with a qualifer next week. Either way a small bet on the overs to give us an interest should pay some dividends.
